A fine meeting on Tuesday, December 2, started with Bill Shaw leading us in the Pledge of Allegiance, our "America the Beautiful" and Rev. Bert Croop offering a blessing. "Joy to the World" ushered in our Christmas celebrations.
December birthday folks are Tom Ippolito, Margo Harper, Ernie Wiard, and Shirley Figueroa. Happy birthday to all! Most special was our exchange student, Emiliano, celebrating his 17th birthday on this very day.
December wedding anniversaries are being celebrated by Diana Williams and Ben Siragusa. And also by past prez Bill Wall. Apparently Jill prefers to celebrate without BIll, since she's away traveling. Makes sense to me.
Our guests were Carol Cook, director of Teresa House, and Barb Montesano, a long-time volunteer there (and mother of member Marcia Cameron). Teresa House is one of our club's favorite recipients. 70 volunteers each week are required to cover resident needs, providing comfort care to those who, usually, anticipate less than three months to live.
We also welcomed guest Bob French, prospective member for our club, a longtime Rochester Rotarian.
Solver of the riddle published in this newsletter some weeks ago was Dr. Wayne Warriner, who enjoyed some gooey ice cream-ish dessert as his prize.
This is the second publication of our slate of officers for next year:
| President | Kevin Tompsett | |
| President-Elect | Dr. Hans Koomen | |
| Secretary | Bruce Burritt | |
| Treasurer | Kelly Cole | |
| Directors | Kirk Vanderbilt, Laurie Vonglis, Dr. Bob Hayes |
Dates to remember:

| December 16 | Election of next year's officers. |

| January 6 | Next regular meeting. |
| January 11 | (Sunday) Our Milt Matthews guests, District Governor-Elect Suresh Chandrasekhar and spouse Madhu will be welcomed at a gathering at 277 Genesee Street. Details to follow. |
Announcement by Karl Sawicki: Gordon Howe, son-in-law of our former ADG Richard Nereau, passed away.
If you have not committed to a time to volunteer to ring the Salvation Army bell at Tops Market, DO IT NOW!! Just let Hans know where you'd like to be added to the calendar. (Select "Week" display mode at the top-right of the calendar below, and then use the scroll button at the top-left of the calendar to go to the week of Dec 14-20. If you want to print the schedule, don't use the Print command in the File menu; instead, click the Print button at the top-right of the calendar.)
Remember, ROTARY "MAKES DREAMS REAL"!
| Tue 12/2 | Regular Meeting |
| Program: | Teresa House. |
| Attendance: | Absentees were not reported. President Barbara encourages all who missed a meeting to call another AWOL and do a make-up together. If you do a make-up, please tell Secretary Diana about it right away, so the correct numbers are reported to the District. |
