Marcia's Notes:

There were no guests this evening. Thank you's were read from Jerry Dougherty on the basket of flowers sent after his mother's passing, and a Thank you from Laurie Vonglis on the card on her recent illness and Laurie still managed to do her Rotary duties and she was pinned for it. We also received a note from DG John Hall thanking us for the great time he had at our prayer meeting and our regular meeting. Our August 28th meeting will be the boat party and on October 23rd will be our Eastern Cities Dinner at the Convention Center. Hoyt's wife Doris is in the hospital and not doing very well so our prayers are with them. A Thank you was also read from Chelsea Babbitt thanking us for her week at RYLA camp. She is also going to be a youth exchange sister. Helen reminded us to know our program in advance and let Hans know so he can put it on the calendar. Celebrations included one from Tim Rogers for his son who was in Iraq and doesn't have to go back. Helen also celebrated her MS bike tour. She did very well Congratulations Helen. Laurie celebrated 1st place in winning golf tournament in the Inlet. Kelly Cole (not a woman) celebrated the passing of the vote for the Opera Block. Diana Williams confessed that at the Corn Festival while she was at the 50/50 booth she broke a handle of the arm of one of the chairs, but it turns out that so did Mark Evans. We were also told of the resignation of Kathy Brandt. We will miss you Kathy. Good Luck. Hans Koomen will take her place on the Board of Directors. 50/50 was won by Prez Bill Wall. See you next week at the boat party.
