Marcia's Notes:

Our last Tuesday meeting was held at the home of Ted and Dorothy Coyne, We thank them very much for hosting a very enjoyable evening. As always we had plenty of food and plenty to drink. A little rain but it didnŐt ruin our fun. We had many guests this evening. We gave building awards (Kind of) to Lima Carpet and to Hurricane Technologies. Congratulations. This past meeting was a regular meeting at Peppermints. We will meet at Camp Sam Wood. We had our cards this week so our past 50/50 winner Hoyt was able to draw his winning card. Helen told us how the programs are going to work for this year. Going backwards and she also told us about her MS bike run and to ask for our support, so if you can support Helen. Karl read a letter from the girls from Robert Wesleyan College who did a program for us about Kenya Kids project for Karl donation. New member meeting has been cancelled for now to be rescheduled at a later date. Don Cook talked about the youth exchange program and thanked Past Prez Jim for his help and support. Four families will be hosting our inbound student from Brazil. Celebrations including one from Mark Evans regarding Charles Feller in his Amish socks and English belt. Doc celebrated his week in the Adirondacks with his 15 grandchildren and 10 children while their was lots of rain. Sue O'Hearn celebrated her Maine vacation. Tim and Marne attended their class reunion. I think Tim said 45th. I can't believe that. Kelly celebrated being at the Islands with his mother. Margo told us about her daughter in law having shoulder surgery and came through very well. Sue also celebrated a baby shower for her daughter. We also thanked Ted for hosting our party last week. Kirk welcomed Peter Kastraba an Eagle Scout from Troop 26 and his father Pete. They were our guests tonight including Hoyt's wife Doris. Peter told us about the process to become an Eagle Scout and how he will be attending MCC College in the fall. The process to become and Eagle Scout is a long one. You have to have 21 merit badges and come up with a project and present it to the board. Peter is responsible for the new benches in the park. One of which we gave money for and dedicated it to Rob Hooper. Along with this process is a screening with his parents and lots of paperwork. His father Pete also thanked the Rotary Club on behalf of the scouts and his sons. Ernie received a pin for Service Above Self for having all the plaques updated and put back on the wall. Thanks Ernie. 50/50 was won by Jamie Shoemaker. See you next Tuesday at Camp Sam Wood.
