The 44th Annual AVON ROTARY AUCTION begins at 8 a.m. on Saturday, November 5th at the Avon Primary School on Clinton Street, Avon.
Avon's second biggest fund raiser features more than 500 lots of every description. Auctoneer Ralph Garnish officiates, hammering down bids for small furniture, antiques and collectibles, tickets for theatre, movies, concerts and sporting events, jewelry, china and glass, tools, sporting goods, homemade baked goods and locally grown potatoes, squash, apples, apple cider and honey. Gift certificates from area merchants include everything from hair care, auto repair and services, restaurant meals, sides of pork, vacation get-aways, gravel, mulch, rock salt, landscaping, merchandise and more. Long-time fans use the November event to get an early start on their holiday shopping, scooping up bargains galore.
